Curved gaming monitors have captured a rather notable market share in the recent years, so MSI decided to build an open-air chassis for PCs that would match design of curved LCDs. At Computex, the company showcased its first experimental curved gaming case, the MEG Alchemy 700X.

The ‘world’s first curved gaming case’ from MSI is aimed at enthusiasts who would like to admire internals of their PCs as well as to showcase them to the others. The chassis is made of metal and features a curved tempered glass on the front.

The case enables to build machines based on an ATX motherboard, a CPU with a liquid cooling system, as well as almost any graphics card. These systems can also accommodate two 2.5-inch SSDs or HDDs as well as one 3.5-inch storage device.

To simplify usage of the MEG Alchemy 700X, MSI installed two USB 3.0 Type-A connectors, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, as well as 3.5-mm audio connectors on its front.

It remains to be seen whether the MEG Alchemy 700X becomes a commercial product or will remain a chassis used to demonstrate the company’s flagship hardware at various trade shows. In any case, if MSI decides to commercialize this product (aiming modders or businesses, for example), expect it to be rather expensive as this will be a unique PC case.

If I were ever in Tokyo, I'd definitely try to go. I wonder to what extent it's been affected by the rise of online shopping. And I'd imagine smart phones and streaming TVs haven't been kind to the various electronics and gadget shops. But surely worth a visit, nonetheless.

    :D
I would say bachelor/ette more than anything else, only because I am one of the types you listed above BUT I take care of myself at the end of the day.

probably explains why am using a many year old system and am on the last legs of getting a "shed" installed that will be full off grid and I will be able to run "any system" I want at that point....

Ryzen 3850x, RX 5700 XT(X) 32-64gb ram(is 64 scales etc properly, or if not like price, am just going 16gb ^.^

You're going to install a shed in your parent backyard to become independent?

    LOL! Yeah, WTF?

Sounds like your describing your pathetic self. Lay off the peaches and cream. Remember your mouth is not a vacuum cleaner for food,

I wasn't describing you in specific, but take it personally and get nerd-enraged over it if that's your thing little one.

Relax, and consider there's probably something behind powerwhiz' reaction.

If you're gonna go there (i.e. talking about people's situations), you've got to be ready for some blow back. But, on the other hand, powerwhiz kinda outed himself as a basement dweller. So, there's that.

Where have you been? Gaming hardware has been named like this for years. The cringe factor will only accelerate as the supply of only somewhat cringe names continue to dwindle.

Yeah, I had a similar reaction, when I first encountered that branding.

At first, I assumed they'd misplaced their thesaurus, because I think "divine" sounds a lot more natural. However, maybe "god-like" sounds better to their ears, or "divine" sounds like something bad, in Chinese.

Then they can make a pink version for females and call it "angelic"
