When we reviewed Motorola's Xoom, all that was available was the $799 3G version. Since then Motorola has released a more affordable $599 WiFi only edition with 32GB of NAND on board. Inside the Xoom, as you're all familiar with is NVIDIA's Tegra 2 SoC. Tegra 2 was Google's reference SoC for the Honeycomb release of Android, and thus it's been the heart and soul of all recently announced Honeycomb tablets.

NVIDIA, eager to parade its success with Tegra 2, shipped me a box containing four WiFi Motorola Xooms to give away to our most loyal readers. Here's a shot of the four:

Now the plan: we'll be giving one away every two days until we're out of WiFi Xooms. Sound good?

To enter the contest simply respond to this post with comment explaining something you'd like to see in the next-generation of tablets or SoCs (please only respond once). Good luck!

Now the rules. This contest is unfortunately only available to US residents in one of the 50 states. I realize that AnandTech is an international site and I do highly value all of our readers, unfortunately extending the contest rules outside of the US is a bit more than we're able to reliably handle today. That's not to say that we won't at some point in the future, we just have little experience doing such things and don't want to get burned early on.

Secondly, you are only allowed to enter once.

Entries will be accepted from 7:35 PM ET on April 15, 2011 through 7:35 PM ET on April 17, 2011. Winner will be selected by April 18, 2011.

Good luck everyone :)

I would love for the next gen of tablets to integrate with your PC/laptop. For example, I would love for my tablet to act as an additional wireless monitor for my PC/laptop.

Wont replace my laptop, but could be a fun toy.

Really my decision not to actually purchase a tablet yet is the lack of true value. I have a gaming desktop/HTPC that serves all of my meda/entertainment needs, a laptop for work while traveling, and a large screen smart phone (Evo 4G to be exact) for everything else, including replacing my standalone GPS and aging palm pilot. I do have a nook, but it was a gift and I can't stand reading that much text on an LCD. What I want in the next gen of tablets includes:

A better OS, or at least the ability to dual boot whatever I want
    Day-long battery life.
Accessories that add functionality like a keyboard dock that adds battery and ports
    Pen input that works
Real software, not just a ton of worthless apps.

That said, I would really like a Xoom...

At that size I want a combination of a bamboo pent touch and Photoshop built into the tablet. It could be an awesome portable media surface allowing my creative side to come out any time I had an inspiration.

Secondly, the comments stating that a keyboard needs addressed are spot on. I would love to actually be able to code, or produce content on the go. The problem is that even slide out thumb boards are just to slow for pounding out the content. What the road warriors need is the battery life and form factor of the tablet with the ease of input found in a keyboard.

Should a truly functional touch keyboard be implemented into a table, the next frontier in my book has got to be either productivity software or development software. Give me 8 hours on a bus to work on a brilliant art idea, followed by the ability to create a custom website theme based on it.... eureka!

Resolution resolution resolution. 800 down does not cut it for reading technical PDFs.

What I would like to see from the next generation of tablets is an advance toward what I see as the "ultimate" form: scrolls with flexible OLED displays. Essentially, the bulk of the hardware and battery would be stored in the two thin cylinders of the scroll/tablet, and the display would extend between the two.

Add an optional rollout physical keyboard, and a scroll tablet would give the best combination of portability and usability of any mobile computing device.

I'd like to see more companies utilizing voice input. I would love an Apple product that had voice to text.

I'd like to see an HDTV Tuner / Cablecard slot. True, you can stream a lot of TV content nowadays, but live sports, breaking news, and first run movies / episodes / specials are often not among them. This will probably eat battery life like a sumbich, but tablets are big enough to have bigger batteries.
