When we reviewed Motorola's Xoom, all that was available was the $799 3G version. Since then Motorola has released a more affordable $599 WiFi only edition with 32GB of NAND on board. Inside the Xoom, as you're all familiar with is NVIDIA's Tegra 2 SoC. Tegra 2 was Google's reference SoC for the Honeycomb release of Android, and thus it's been the heart and soul of all recently announced Honeycomb tablets.

NVIDIA, eager to parade its success with Tegra 2, shipped me a box containing four WiFi Motorola Xooms to give away to our most loyal readers. Here's a shot of the four:

Now the plan: we'll be giving one away every two days until we're out of WiFi Xooms. Sound good?

To enter the contest simply respond to this post with comment explaining something you'd like to see in the next-generation of tablets or SoCs (please only respond once). Good luck!

Now the rules. This contest is unfortunately only available to US residents in one of the 50 states. I realize that AnandTech is an international site and I do highly value all of our readers, unfortunately extending the contest rules outside of the US is a bit more than we're able to reliably handle today. That's not to say that we won't at some point in the future, we just have little experience doing such things and don't want to get burned early on.

Secondly, you are only allowed to enter once.

Entries will be accepted from 7:35 PM ET on April 15, 2011 through 7:35 PM ET on April 17, 2011. Winner will be selected by April 18, 2011.

Good luck everyone :)

2 The OS should be rooted. Users should be allowed to uninstall any program they want.

A virtual keyboard like the laser keyboards that project onto the desk. It would eliminate the keyboard on the device and leave the screen completely free for viewing.

Also, a LED projector like the Pico projectors from Optoma.

It would be nice if these tablets had better enterprise integration, specifically support for Exchange (calendars, email, etc. - Sorry PlayBook, you don't even have an email or calendar client) and RDP/VNC for those times when I have to fix things that others broke, Active Directory/Group Policy support (for those with Microsoft networks) and Locator/Remote Wipe capability. I know that there are apps for everything, but it would be nice for true integration out of the box.

Other niceties would include a scan/OCR app that utilizes the rear camera and a bundled mini keyboards (like the Logitech DiNovo Mini or Lenovo 57Y6336 that can fit in the pocket, see additional note below) so you aren't forced to always use the virtual keyboard.

Another nicety would be some kind of capability to extend or couple with a smartphone. Considering that the phone and a tablet would be two easily transportable devices that most carry all the time, it would be nice if the tablet could harness the processing power or the display on the phone. Possibly dual screen support where tool windows can be moved to the phone, or utilizing the slide out keyboard on a phone for text input on a tablet, save to a smartphone SD card, etc.

The simple reality is that the phone is the only device that everyone has with them all the time, so any capability that can leverage this device is appreciated. Even if it means vendor lock-in, I would still support it.
